Western Canadian retail and pharmacy chain London Drugs has temporarily closed all of its stores due to a “cybersecurity incident.”
While no details have been provided on what exactly went wrong, experts say there are signs pointing to it being a ransomware attack, where a company’s network or data is held hostage until a large amount of money is paid.
