Parade, party in the park for Canada Day in North Delta

“North Delta is gearing up for a spectacular Canada Day celebration this year, in partnership with the City of Delta and the North Delta Lions Club. With a host of exciting activities and entertainment lined up, this event is not to be missed.

Enhanced Canada Day Experience
The North Delta Lions Club, known for hosting the Family Day event in June, has joined forces with the City to create a bigger and better Canada Day celebration. The festivities kick off at 3 p.m. at Chalmers Park with a parade, opening ceremonies, and cake cutting, followed by a festival featuring live entertainment, carnival games, inflatables, and a cultural corner.

Food and Fun for Everyone
The North Delta Lions Club will be firing up their iconic barbecue and setting up the famous Lion Slide Inflatable, while the Punjabi Maihi Church and Delta Church will offer a variety of delicious food options. This year, attendees can also enjoy a beverage garden sponsored by the Delta Firefighters Charitable Society. And of course, no Canada Day celebration is complete without fireworks, which will light up the sky after a performance by Soulstream.

Community Support and Legacy
The North Delta Lions Club has a long history of giving back to the community, with proceeds from events like the Family Day Parade and Festival directly supporting various projects in North Delta. President Nicholle Dhaliwal emphasizes the Club’s commitment to preserving their legacy in North Delta and providing the community with a memorable Canada Day celebration.

In conclusion, the partnership between the City of Delta and the North Delta Lions Club has created an outstanding event that showcases the spirit of community and celebration. As residents come together to enjoy the festivities, they are not only celebrating Canada Day but also supporting local initiatives and organizations. This Canada Day celebration in North Delta is a testament to the power of collaboration and the importance of giving back to the community. Let’s come together to make this year’s Canada Day truly unforgettable.”
