"Celebrating Canada Day in West Kelowna

As Canada Day approaches, the residents of West Kelowna are gearing up for a day filled with fun, excitement, and patriotism. The Westside Celebration Society has organized a jam-packed schedule of events and activities at Memorial Park to honor our nation’s 157th birthday. From antique cars to a kids fair that is promised to "blow people away," there is something for everyone to enjoy on this special day.

A Grand Event for All Ages

Society president Tina Bisson is excited to announce that this year’s Canada Day celebrations will be bigger and better than ever before. The kids fair will feature bouncy castles, Zorb balls on water, a Fortnite castle, carnival games, and even a foam party for 400 people. For the older kids, there will be a Zorb arena and plenty of activities to keep them entertained.

The Envirometal Towing Show and Shine will also be a highlight of the day, showcasing a variety of unique vehicles for car enthusiasts to admire. Live musical performances by Rollin’ Coal and Gold Mynd will keep the crowd entertained throughout the day, leading up to the traditional cutting of the Canada Day cake at 3 p.m. And let’s not forget about the nine food trucks that will be on site to satisfy hungry festival-goers.

Voice Your Opinion

In addition to the festivities, Castanet is giving its readers a platform to share their opinions on various topics through online polls. From discussions about cell phone levies to debates about the future of social media apps like TikTok, the polls provide a space for individuals to express their views and engage in meaningful conversations.

Engaging with the Community

As we come together to celebrate Canada Day, it is important to reflect on the values and principles that unite us as a nation. Events like the West Kelowna celebrations serve as a reminder of the importance of community, inclusivity, and diversity. Through music, food, and entertainment, we have the opportunity to strengthen our bonds with one another and create lasting memories.

Let us take this moment to appreciate our country’s rich history, cultural diversity, and shared sense of identity. As we mark Canada Day in West Kelowna, let us celebrate the past, present, and future of this great nation. Happy Canada Day to all!"
