what we know is that at least 177,000 children are estimated to be unaccompanied or separated uh from surviving family members and at least 4,000 children are likely to be buried under the rubble children have made have made up uh about 40% of all deaths in Gaza and so if we follow that logic and we know that at least 10,000 people are be under the rubble we can calculate that at Le we have calculated that at least 4,000 uh children are also likely buried under the rubble um at this point presumed dead we know also that an unknown number of children have been detained by Israeli forces have been forcibly transferred out of Gaza and are buried in unmarked Graves you know there was a time period where we were seeing Mass Graves uh found um several Mass Graves have been found and an unknown number of of um of the bodies that were found in the mass Graves have been children it has been incredibly difficult to verify the identity of children who have been killed in Gaza as well as those found in Mass graves because their bodies have been harmed beyond recognition and because so many children have have had their families completely wiped out have lost all next to Kin it’s been there’s an that’s an added uh obstacle in Iden in in in identifying their identity their names um and the families that they belong to we know that from parents that some kids are so traumatized that even when there is food they are unable to eat um we know you know from are uh we are providing uh Pediatric Services in field hospitals in Gaza and we’ve heard that um some children are so malnourished that they don’t even have the energy to cry I mean the toll that this war will have on children in Gaza will span Generations uh it will impact them physically and mentally

Forty per cent of the 37,500+ estimated deaths in Gaza – amid the Israel-Hamas conflict – are children, according to Save the Children International.

“What we know is that at least 17,000 children are estimated to be unaccompanied or separated from surviving family members and at least 4,000 children are likely to be buried under the rubble,” Alexandra Saieh, a representative for the children’s rights charity, told reporters on Friday.

This comes as Save the Children’s child protection teams have reported a need for urgent action to protect separated and unaccompanied children, a task complicated by the escalating security situation in Gaza.

Since Oct. 7, 2023, Israeli forces have been occupying much of the Palestinian enclave in its mission to “destroy” Hamas – a response to the militant groups’ attack on southern Israel, in which more than 1,200 Israelis were killed and roughly 250 were taken hostage.

Saieh says the toll of Gaza’s retaliation could “span generations.” “It will impact them physically and mentally,” she said.

  1. Save the Children International & its tentacles around the World need massive cash to survive & keep their payroll going. That's why she is making unsubstantiated claims, intended to mislead. It's disgraceful.
