the majority of Canadian renters say they have no plans to purchase a home in the next two years that’s according to a new survey from Royal leage the real estate company says 27% of renters are planning to enter the market and that jumps to 40% when asking renters aged 18 to 34 but 69% say a home purchase isn’t likely for them in the next term in the near term 54% of the 1500 respondents say they didn’t view their income as sufficient to afford a desirable property Royal leage says finding the capital for down payments stands as the greatest barrier to buying a home
