After years of silence, “Roaring Kitty” has roared back online.

That’s the investment influencer who back in 2021 helped propel shares of the video game retailer GameStop by as much as two thousand per cent.

The stock surged again after his reappearance last Monday, then plummeted by Friday.

Now the Massachusetts securities regulator is investigating his trading activities.

Anne Gaviola looks at whether what “Roaring Kitty” is doing is legal.

  1. Warren Buffet buys Chubb stock for his portfolio and Chubb stock goes up 15%, No one investigates Buffet. Why not? But they look at Keith? seems like the old white boys club is nervous.

  2. All we have done here is even the playing field. Wall St is mad because they can't predict it now this includes government officials who get that inside information that your not supposed to use to use to benefit you are your family friends etc.

  3. Oh get the hell out with the video description. The ones needing investigating by SEC, FBI, and DOJ are the ones high up in their ivory towers shorting companies in to the ground multiple times over their shares outstanding.

  4. Imagine a world where this is a non satirical 'news' story?Could y'all possibly be more openly corrupt?
As Christian Bale in The Big Short said, "I'm beginning to suspect that we live in an entirely fraudulent system." The 0.001% do this all day long, call in jackboots (by the divine right of kings) when the poor beat them at their own game & then continue privatizing their gains & socializing their losses as usual?

  5. It's funny how when hedge funds and private investment corps' actions dictate market movement, that's just Wall St, baby! But when a normy outside of the insiders' den amasses stock and fans by doing the least ruthles thing possible, then it must be market manipulation. The oligarchical playmakers consistently all but beat into us that the spoils are for them alone and we are all merely the corporate slaves that make sure their yachts stay sparkling.
