Israel rescues 4 hostages in central Gaza in largest operation to date

Israel rescued four hostages on Saturday in what it said was its largest rescue operation to date.

The four were rescued during a heavy air and ground assault by the Israeli military, one of the deadliest since the war began. The Hamas-run health ministry says 210 people were killed in the assault.

The four Israelis – Noa Argamani, 26, Almog Meir Jan, 22, Andrey Kozlov, 27 and Shlomi Ziv, 41— are now back at home with their families after being held captive in Gaza for eight months.

David Akin reports.

  1. More than 240 days and we are at war to save only four prisoners… They could have been rescued in the first week of the war just through negotiations… Netanyahu the fool wants to show off his imaginary victory… This is a defeat, gentlemen, don't be foolish… Why is our economy collapsing and our soldiers dying for a result we could have achieved months ago with fewer losses?

  2. I heard they were given the hostage location by Hamas and they just went and got them….but of course Israel made this look like a big rescue operation so nasty Netanyahu would look like some kind of hero. Clearly, they are all in good condition and other hostages have said that despite the bombings they were treated well and played cards and had their hair done.

  3. So, so called innocent civilians were holding hostages in their homes…now they are crying, were the hostages rescued without gun battle? If the answer is no, it proves, there are so many Armed civilians
