Deb Surine’s life will likely end right where it started. She thought she was given a second chance, but there was something else in store for her.

After a lifelong battle with addictions, the Calgary woman was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite dealing with the prospect of death after finally being able to enjoy a life free of addictions, she’s not bitter.

As Carolyn Kury de Castillo reports, she has put off a decision to alleviate her pain with a medically assisted death.
