Ethics Commissioner Konrad von Finckenstein is looking into the business dealings of Employment, Workforce Development and Official Languages Minister Randy Boissonnault.
It centres on Boissonnault’s ties to a lobbyist and a medical supply company embroiled in lawsuits.
As Krista Hessey reports, while Boissonnault says he’s followed ethics and lobbying rules, newly obtained text messages raise questions about his potential involvement in a business deal a year after he was elected.

He owns 50% of a company that has just a handful of employees. During covid his and other companies received a lot of tax dollars (millions) by way of government contracts. There are a lot of allegations, not the least of which are conflict of interest and not delivering ppe that they were paid for. He claims to know nothing.

From his embrace of MAGA, to his support of ANTI-LGBTQIA people at the Calgary Stampede, to supporting and fraternizing with groups funded by American classified domestic terror groups Oath Keepers and Proud Boys to his support of anti-union groups and pushing "right to work" ideology created by an American racist who created the policy so white people could refuse working with coloured people and so employers could pay employees unfair wages.
