For decades, Maxwell Smart barely spoke of what he endured during the Holocaust, where the Nazis killed his mother, father and sister.
But the 93-year-old has shared his story in recent years, through a book and multiple films.
Mike Armstrong speaks with Smart about how he has been able to open up about his traumatic past in the film “The Boy in the Woods” which will premiere in Canadian theatres on June 21. It will also be shown at the Toronto Jewish Film Festival on June 2, with Smart and director Rebecca Snow in attendance.
