George Floyd’s killing was a ‘moment of awakening,’ says activist


Today marks four years since George Floyd was murdered by a Minneapolis police officer. Dahabo Ahmed-Omer, the chief executive officer at BlackNorth Initiative, says this is a day to ‘not just remember, but to not forget as well.’ Ahmed-Omer says Floyd represents an ‘incredible amount of efforts and contributions that have gone into the freedoms and the liberation of Black people.’
