Flying tire collision leaves Toronto man dead, 3 injured

56

A fatal incident occurred on the QEW Friday afternoon when a flying tire struck a coach bus, resulting in the death of a Toronto man and leaving three others in serious condition.

According to the officials, the collision, which closed all Toronto-bound lanes for hours, was caused by a wheel coming off a passenger van, striking a pickup truck, and then going through the windshield of the coach bus.

Global’s Sean O’Shea reports.

  1. Talked about truck tires coming off and showing a car tire, media misleading. And by the way under current ontario law passenger vehicles that loose tires is not an offense to the best of my knowledge . ACQUAINTANCE of mine had an SUV tire come off and hit his truck about 10000 total damages (tractor trailer) and the SUV driver was not charged

  2. I guess the guy who said leave it to the professionals never heard of comedian Ron White if he has, then he would know the pros don't always get it right either because his joke about his lug nuts coming off after getting new tires really did happen.
