Israel-Gaza: “Not enough,” some protesters say after International court order to halt Rafah assault

39

Judges at the top United Nations court ordered Israel on Friday to halt its military assault on the southern Gaza city of Rafah, in a landmark emergency ruling on South Africa’s case accusing Israel of genocide.

Reading out the ruling by the International Court of Justice or
ICJ, the body’s president Nawaf Salam said the situation in the Palestinian enclave had deteriorated since the court last ordered Israel to take steps to improve it. Conditions had been met for a new emergency order.

The court also ordered Israel to open the Rafah crossing between Egypt and Gaza to allow in humanitarian aid, and said it must provide access to the besieged enclave for investigators and report back on its progress within one month.

“Today’s hearing is good, but it’s not enough,” said demonstrator ML Hagui. “Only a free Palestine, also a free two-state solution is enough. It’s good for both people, both religions, and also for the Middle East.”

  1. This "court" has no power… whatsoever. Laws are completely irrelevant if they are not enforceable, The UN, the ICC, you name it, they have ZERO power over sovereign states, none. Especially the super powers of the world. When one side just ignores all "laws" and kills civilians and takes hostages just because they were Jews, expect no mercy from Israel, as there should be none.

  2. It’s impossible to support Ukraine ?? and not support ??.

Palestine has been occupied for 76 years. It’s been Palestine for 7k years.
Isreal is a made up country

  3. Trudeau is an embarrassment. His ideals do not represent most Canadians. Prayers and support for Israel. It is crystal clear that the Islamist judges are bias. Has anyone hear of the immediate release of the hostages by this court? The hell with their arrest warrant.

  4. Why is South Africa, UN or ICJ and others supporting Hamas? Why didn't they take any actions to Punish Hamas? It would have made sense if the ICJ had first demanded for the return of the alive Israel’s hostages taken by Hamas, or made efforts to stop Hamas from its attacks against the Israel people before stopping Israel from defending itself. You can’t dig a hole to collect sand to burry another hole. Unless God prevails with a balanced solution, the world is yet creating its own calamities for the future humankind generations.
