Some Quebec students who are eligible to go to English schools are voluntarily opting to attend French schools instead. In Montreal, more than 80 per cent of eligible kids are attending English schools, according to Statistics Canada data. But in some regions, like the Laurentians, it’s only about 66 per cent.
