U.K. to hold long-awaited election on July 4


Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced that Britons will go to the polls in a general election on July 4, with Conservatives looking to extend the power they’ve held since 2010. By law, an election needed to be held by January 2025. According to polls, the party faces a formidable challenge against the Labour Party.
