Tennessee storms: Floods, a tornado, and “golf-ball-sized” hail wreak havoc

Parts of Tennessee were hit by severe storms, with flooding and a tornado wreaking havoc in the state.

A tornado touched down in Columbia, Tenn., on May 8, which toppled trees, damaged homes, and sent debris flying. According to local media, at least one death has been confirmed, and several other people were injured.

Flash flooding as a result of storms also occurred in various state counties.

Plus, “golf-ball-sized” hail to pelted parts of the state, according to the National Weather Service.
