This year, officials have upped the ante by introducing a variety of sweet, salty, and spicy indulgences that are sure to tantalize the taste buds of Stampede-goers.

Unique and Daring Dishes

One of the standout offerings this year is the “Cowboyaki,” a takoyaki dish filled with meat floss, seaweed strips, pickled ginger, cabbage, and chunks of octopus. Named by Stampede Insiders, this dish brings a taste of the exotic to the Calgary Stampede. Ying Yan Situ, events and operations manager at Happy Fish Catering, expressed their excitement at bringing such unique flavors to the event and highlighted the community’s enthusiasm in naming one of their exclusive dishes.

In addition to the Cowboyaki, other treats on offer include Mexican street corn ice cream, pickle fry poutine, Ferrero Rocher bubble tea, and a surprising twist on the classic cheeseburger in the form of cheeseburger ice cream. With a meatless, vanilla-infused cone of soft serve ice cream topped with an onion ring and a pickle, this dessert is sure to intrigue even the most adventurous foodies.
