A 15-year-old boy is fighting for his life after he and two other youths attempted to ride the top of a GO train that was in motion after midnight Saturday.

Toronto police say four youths between the ages of 14 and 16 boarded the train heading eastbound from Union Station toward Danforth Station around 11:50 p.m.

While the train was in motion, three of the teens went outside and climbed onto the roof. One of them came in contact with a stationary object and fell. The other teens went back inside the moving train and called 9-1-1.

Emergency responders transported the 15-year-old boy to hospital where he remains in life-threatening condition, officials said. Metrolinx said in an emailed statement the company is working alongside local law enforcement to investigate the incident.

  1. Damn, i saw a story of people doing this. I assumed it was to skip paying the fare because times are tight. This is for artificial social and emotion credits? Darwinism do your thing

  2. I was young once, and back then I did my share of stupid things. But no matter how drunk I was, I still drew the line at things I thought could result in dismemberment and/or death.
