Pakistan floods: At least 69 dead following week of heavy rainfall

At least 69 people across Pakistan have died in the last week as a result of mass flooding brought on by heavy rainfall.

Aside from the fatalities, dozens of people have been injured due to building collapses, lightning strikes, and other related incidents, according to local authorities.

Pakistan’s meteorological department says the intense rain began at the beginning of the month and is forecast, along with hail and snowfall, until April 22 in certain areas.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Punjab, Islamabad and north Balochistan are expected to be hit particularly hard.
