Late last year, Tina the eagle was found with a heavy parasite load in Vermilion Provincial Park, about 200 kilometres east of Edmonton. The eagle was nursed back to health and released at a ceremony with traditional drums and song at Métis Crossing, a year-round cultural interpretive destination.
