Triple shooting in downtown Toronto leaves 1 dead, 2 injured on sidewalk

Toronto police say a 30-year-old man has died and two others have been injured after a triple shooting on a sidewalk in the downtown area early Thursday.

Det. Sgt. Trevor Grieve, from Toronto’s homicide unit, said the shooting happened in front of an establishment near Queen and Portland streets at around 2:30 a.m.

Paramedics told Global News two people were taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries and a third was taken in critical condition. One of the victims, a 30-year-old man died in hospital, Grieve said.

The other two injured in the shooting were a 36-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man, he added.

  1. I wonder if there's any connection to all these shootings and letting violent offenders out on bail, low punishments, and open drug markets permitted by the government…no connection at all.

    Also, no description of the shooters, so they belong to that constantly violent demographic.
