Shohei Ohtani’s ex-interpreter charged with federal bank fraud

Ippei Mizuhara is accused of stealing over $16 million US from baseball star Shohei Ohtani, whom Mizuhara interpreted for. If found guilty, Mizuhara faces up to 30 years in prison. A U.S. State Department spokesperson says there are multiple recordings of Mizuhara impersonating Ohtani to place bets.
