In the heart of Eco Vision Memramcook’s new clothing boutique, excitement filled the air as employees gathered for a photoshoot. The social enterprise, known for its commitment to employing adults with disabilities, was abuzz with anticipation.
A Vision of Empowerment
Executive Director Audrey Mazurek expressed her desire for the new location to exude a higher-end boutique feel. She envisioned the participants showcasing their modeling skills on big posters, aiming to empower not only the employees but also other adults with intellectual disabilities. Mazurek emphasized the importance of providing enriching experiences for individuals who may have missed out on social activities like prom in their youth.
Photographer André Boulard generously volunteered to capture the essence of the photoshoot, noting the deep significance of the cause. For him, it was essential to share and express oneself freely without hesitation.

Students from the Jon Raymond Institute in Moncton lent their expertise by providing complimentary hair and makeup services. Jillian Chaytor, a student at the institute, found joy in working with the Eco Vision Memramcook employees, describing the experience as exciting and fun.
Carmella Caroll, a dedicated employee at Eco Vision Memramcook, expressed her delight in the makeover experience, emphasizing the camaraderie and friendship she shares with her colleagues. Each participant had the opportunity to select an outfit from the thrift store’s donated clothing stock, adding a personal touch to the photoshoot.
