Uh players from charlott town Sherwood Pond like straford and stuff and all the Kings County so uh it’s it’s it’s a pretty it’s a pretty big Zone yeah those are all perfect it’s our last practice of the season so it’s pretty sad it’s very special for us because it’s
Our last practice so we’re not going to see each other next year or at least some of us not on the ice not like this no since day one the girls showed up to the practices work hard and uh want to be competitive creative and just had so
Much fun as well doing it so it’s just definitely a year to remember we won a lot of tournaments and we had one loss it was great I loved playing with them they’re all super great and kind and and respectful it was really fun like the best season ever
Yeah our record was uh 44-1 uh we were very fortunate to win the three major tournaments over uh cross and Noah Scotia New bronck and the sweetheart tournament pii I’m always going to remember the moment where I went to hug Emily or the goalie after the buzzer
Went off after the finals it just felt amazing I remember like a few years back there’s probably not enough for girls team in P here now you look at here like there’s probably 50 60 girls in each age group in P right so I like that they just made a woman’s Hockey League
Because it used to only be boys and women couldn’t play like professional leagues a little bit cuz it’s just like a chance for women to show how good they are that’s a lot of those girls look up those girls right what they see on TV and then that’s who
They want to be when they get older right so it’s always awesome to be uh having dreams and uh keep working towards them it’s my favorite sport and I just love it so you I might be seeing you in the professional hockey wom’s hockey possibly cuz I just love to play
Like professional women’s hockey and show all those boys boss who loves hockey We
This season, the U-11 AA Central Storm Orange hockey team went 44-1, including regular season games, three tournaments and the provincial championships. CBC’s Jane Robertson stopped by their final practice to see how the youngsters were feeling at the end of their near-perfect run.
