March is international women’s month and while there has been progress women still earn less than their male counterparts in Canada a report from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce highlights how in 2023 Canadian women held nearly half the jobs but only made up 35% of management positions and held fewer than

25% of boardroom seats the report noted how female managers earned less than men 88 cents to the dollar and a report on Canada’s 100 highest paid CEOs in 2022 found that only four out of a hundred of the top earners were women
