A polar vortex is plunging Alberta into the extreme cold, with some areas shivering below -40°C, and it is expected to get even colder.
The winter temperatures are already impacting travel and some popular winter activities, with some flights being cancelled and multiple ski hills in the province closing temporarily.

-30 and ski hill shuts down!? ? One of the funnest thing I've seen. Winter is exactly where ski resorts make money. Not to mention -30 is medium for winter.
The TV winter weather maps need to be the same colors as the summer maps. I need the visual re-enforcement to be terrified year round.
