In a thrilling match-up at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens in Trenton, NOJHL East managed to build a three-goal lead and hold off MHL South’s late surge to secure a 4-3 victory.
Strong Start for NOJHL East
NOJHL East came out swinging in the opening period, with Tyler Patterson and Ryan Patrick each finding the back of the net to give their team an early advantage. Patterson’s goal came off an assist from Mathieu Comeau, while Patrick displayed his skill by racing down the left wing and scoring a close-range backhand goal.
MHL South Fights Back
The Maritime Hockey League squad didn’t go down without a fight, as they managed to score a goal in the final minute of the period, narrowing the gap to 2-1. The game remained intense as both teams battled it out on the ice.
